Default Paulownia Tele (Not your Grandpa's Tele)

This may be the lightest body I've ever worked with. This is where I've gone with it so far. But I am going to try a chrome bridge and control plate to complement the chrome neck pickup. The neck pickup is a Sheptone Tribute, my favorite humbucker to date. The bridge pickup is a Harmonic Design Z-90, a totally singular and gorgeous-sounding pickup. I will post photos with cosmetic alternatives in a week or two.

For me there is no aesthetic balance here. This is going to require some time and considerable exploration.

There would be balance if the pickups were switched.

Just in terms of tone, I would prefer the humbucker in the bridge and the single coil in the neck position.

I like Graeme’s suggestion. You could go a step further and do a Nashville beast with a single in the mid.

Nice. I like it! What color is the control plate? Does it match the bridge plate or is it just the way the light is hitting the two of them?

Control plate is copper. I also have one that is finished in antique bronze, but this one matches the bridge better.
