Fixing this post from the great forum crash. I forget what the mystery was, but I was surprised by how well a recently acquired Tele played and sounded.

This is an MIM Deluxe Player's Nashville Tele, with numerous upgrades features including 6 saddle bridge, noiseless pickups ( that sound pretty good), a middle single coil for some Strat flavor, and locking tuners. Hell, the neck feels as good as my A.D. Strat. The quality (and QC), have definitely improved for this sample of two, along with a P bass.

The neck on my 60th anniversary American Deluxe Strat was encased in clearcoat, frets and all. The neck on this tele feels a lot better, even has better finishing on the fret ends. So far, I haven't found any cut corners in terms of finish defects, mould marks, or crap hardware. No wonder Corona keeps upping the title of their flagship offerings..

And the little Mustang GT makes a nice, little amp for noodling in front of the toob.

Nice collection. What more could a man want?

Well done, Joelski! And those two look great together too. I agree, I have a Mexi-Tele (HH) and a Mexi-Strat that I play a lot and they always surprise me with what they put out.
