One more clip
Hey guys,
Here's one more - this time, driving in downtown Bethesda, one of my favorite places to hang out in.
Hope y'all like it!

Yeah, I like that a lot!
Bob James came to mind with the opening keyboard chord voicings.I'm a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.

Nice swinging feel, and I like the way it picked up about a minute into it, and then again about 1:40. Very tasty stuff, Srini!

Bad for the heart, bad for the mind, bad for the deaf & bad for the blind.
It makes some men crazy and they talk like fools.
Makes some men crazy and they start to drool.

Thank you so much, guys!
This one, and the next one (a few days from now, the last one in the vault), represent my only experience with real pro recording. I paid for time at Cue Recording in Falls Church, where Studio C was Pyramid Recording. All the sequenced stuff was dumped into ADATs, (recognize that Alesis drum machine, anyone?) the bass and guitars afterwards, also on to the same ADATs. Then the mixing was done in Studio A on this big ole SSL board by a guy who totally knew what he was doing. What a thrill that was!
I was also extremely lucky to have gotten Tom Field, a fellow IBM'er, to play bass. I always knew him as a keyboard player in a cover band, and when he offered to play bass, I was skeptical - but damn if he didn't channel Chuck Rainey!
Graeme, thanks for mentioning Bob James - I'm deeply flattered. That said, my diet in those days consisted of Lee Ritenour's "Rio" album and Neil Larsen's "High Gear" album. I almost listened to nothing else for a very long time, while driving through those very streets - downtown Bethesda looked a lot different then! Funny how you think you're copying certain people, and the song takes on a life of its own. Of course, I couldn't dream of coming close to Buzz Fieten's blistering solos.
Stan, I can't tell you how much your comments mean. Thank you, my friend!
