    Default Project Move successfully completed

    Hey guys,

I know its been a while, but the long strange trip is finally over. I made it to Bangalore, India in one piece a few days back after what was quite possibly one of the best summers in my life in Seattle for almost 3 months. The main reason for going there before taking off for India was to establish residency and get a WA drivers license, so I don't pay those steep MD state income taxes while I'm in India. My last night in America was fittingly spent seeing Lee Ritenour and Dave Grusin at Jazz Alley. I was lucky to find a short term 3 month lease in what I think is a fabulous neighborhood called Ballard. To cap it all off, not a single day of rain in Seattle in 3 months - just about every single day was picture perfect.

Anyway, now the big task of getting the recording process functional. Here's my outboard gear - a Boss GT-001 and an EH Key 9 pedal. Thats it. The question is, can I produce viable music with it? We'll find out!

Also, I'm considering a slightly different focus right now. I spent my last few weeks in Bethesda doing a lot of GoPro and iPhone video clips to remember people and places by. I did less in Seattle, but a nice one of a walk in Ballard. I'm planning to edit them into YouTube-able clips, and record soundtracks for them.

I'll let y'all go now, but I'll be in touch!

    Take care, guys!

Great to hear from you, Srini! Yes, the last few months have been beautiful up here in the Northwest. I hope all you plans go well in your new residence and lifestyle. Take good care and please stay in touch!

    Stay tuned, Stan

Thanks, MykWiz, the Good Cap'n, my man Stan!!! I'm getting all choked up!

The good news for now is that all the recording stuff came up fine in the laptop - Cubase and all the plug-ins, the WIP stuff came up just fine without whining about not finding files...whew!! It may be time for some housekeeping, like backing everything up, cleaning up and de-fragging the drive. And then, the steep learning curve on video editing...

If you ever hear me say I'm bored, please feel free to smack me upside the head!

By the way, Stan, I think you'll agree with me on this - that Seattle freeze thing is a myth! I couldn't have met nicer people there...:)

I'll be in touch, guys, and thanks so much for remembering me

    Srini
