Default Fender Deluxe 112 plus transformer gets hot

    Hi all
    I got a Fender Deluxe 112 Plus.

When playing for 3 hours I noticed the amp was rather hot. The transformer was pretty hot to touch.

It looks like it has been replaced as itís quite shiny compared to the rest of the amp which wears a respectable patina.

Is this normal? Should I be concerned? Worth keeping my Champion 30 as a back up?

    Many thanks
    Regards
    Vinnie

Transformers get hot. So long as there's no signs of burning (smell, charring, melting of components), then play on.
I'm a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.
