    Default Greetings from the UK

    Hi All,

Great to be part of a Fender-obsessed community. I've just bought my first Fender - American Elite in Skyburst Metallic with MN. I'll be honest, I bought one because I thought every guitarist should own a Strat but it would probably be just another guitar living on hype. I was wrong. It's brilliant. I can't put the thing down (other than to write this of course).

I'm a relative newbie and have been playing for around two years, dabbling in electric, acoustic and more recently, nylon. I wish I'd started when I was much younger but I'm making up for it now.

Look forward to sharing ideas/knowledge with you all.

HA... ya never hear of THAT happening! Be sure to post pictures when ya get time. OH, post them of your Tele, too.
(Ya DO have a Tele, don't ya?- No hype there, either!)

    And "Welcome", Sir.

Welcome to strat-talk KeepPlayin, it's customary for new members to post some images of their guitars so we can all enjoy them. I'd love to see your sky burst metallic strat.

Welcome to the madness! Make yourself at home, and uh... Keep Playin'!

Thanks for the welcome and yes, I forgot my manners. Attached is a pic of the new Strat with her sister. So, which one is prettier...?

And badxmpl - do I need a Tele too? Never played one so will I notice a big difference from the Strat? You may need to explain it to the missus as I think I might be heading for the divorce court if I spend any more on guitars

Welcome to FT! Yes, there is a big difference between a Strat and a Tele! Both outstanding guitars in their own ways. That is a beautiful blue burst! Show this photo of my junk room to the missus and perhaps you won't look so bad...

Jeepers! That puts my humble music room to shame and I can see you're a big Fender fan. I'll see if I can use it as justification to buy a Tele...

Actually there is only one Fender in that room. The other Fender-style guitars I put together myself. If you care to go down that road, I might be able to help. It would cost less than a Fender, for sure.

I kinda got sidetracked by the stripper pole in the middle of the room.... And, KP, looks like Photobucket has kicked you to the curb....
