    Default Hello folks

I just joined. I hope to learn from the experienced folks here and maybe even contribute a little now and then.

I have been playing guitar since 1964. I have owned so many guitars in these years I really can't remember even near as many as I suppose I should be able to.

Been a devoted Fender electric player for a very long time. I also enjoy a good Gibson electric or acoustic as well as a good Martin. I own multipule Fenders and Gibsons and Martins, Epiphones, Alvarez and others.

Being retired I enjoy posting and reading good guitar forums. I obviously have plenty of free time to do so.

I have owned a recording studio in the past. Managed to produce two number one hits on the old MP3.com website.
I have been honored to play with and record with some outstanding musicians in my life.

So there you have it, a small bit of my past for better or worse

Actually, old fart, most of us here are the same. I'm pushing 60 but am somehow cranking the amps and the pedals for occasional gigs with my weekend warrior band in Blacksburg, VA. Welcome to our small, closely -knit community!

Tele and CustomWes, thanks for the welcome !!!

Much appreciated. Yea I am just short of 70 now and I mainly only play for my own enjoyment. Arthritis and age have caught up with me so since I know I can't play to the level I once did I figured it was time to retire from playing out.

Even with all the really fine grade guitars I have it seems that I only use this new Fender Paramount limited edition 000 I just recently added to my collection and my old and dear friend, my Telecaster that I named TQ in honor of my best friend.

TQ has been my main axe for so many years and nothing else just does what he does for me. Playing TQ through my old silverfaced Fender Vibrolux Reverb amp is pure Fender tone and to me, that's as good as it gets.

This new Paramount 000 with the solid AA grade Adirondak top and solid AA grade African mahogany back and sides is so really easy to hold and such a balanced tone I can't seem to put it down. I would have never believed I would say this about a Fender acoustic guitar but believe me this time they got it right.

See below....that is TQ my Telecaster and my new Fender Paramount 000

Some contend that rock 'n roll is bad for the body & bad for the soul
Bad for the heart, bad for the mind, bad for the deaf & bad for the blind.
It makes some men crazy and they talk like fools.

Hey SAguitar, thanks ! I figure I could learn a little here with all the experienced players here.

Never too old to learn ! I figure if I learn just one thing every day that was a winner of a day.
