Default Fender Stratacoustic With Electronics But No Input Jack

    Hi,

I got a used Fender Stratacoustic which has Electronics (Battery Socket & EQ) On the Guitar, but I was very surprised to see that there is no Input Jack anywhere on the Guitar?

    How can that be possible?

Can any anyone guide me if I am missing something?

I believe the jack is incorporated into the strap knob.

Even I felt the same, but the Strap Knob is too small for the Cable Jack to get into..

Well, that end pin jack socket is all there is. If you can't get the jack plug into it, I suggest you either unscrew the socket and take a look inside to see what's stopping it or you take it to a guitar tech to check it out.

Wow, I guess some one could have just put a regular endpin on there, and played it as an acoustic guitar, but those things sound kinda atrocious without plugging them in!

You can see in the OP's pictures that it's an endpin jack. I can understand that they can be faulty....I've changed two of them for customers, although it was because they had stopped latching and wouldn't hold the plug in place. I'd check to make sure something isn't stuck inside first. If it does have to be replaced, it's pretty easy to change though....Three #1 Phillips screws and a pair of solder connections, and the new part's under 10.00 on eBay.

Big hoppy IPA or Bud Light? Hell, Stan, I'd love to sit down and have one with ya, and maybe watch some kick-ass movie or a great set of guitar! I'm thinking a bunch of us should try to find a common time to land in Austin and see some great players (Redd first and foremost).

That would be an awesome adventure! I'm not that particular about beers anyway, and with my busy schedule I probably average only about 2 beers a month.
