Default Hello from the Blue Ridge Mountains

My name is Gord and I am primarily a keyboard player but have slipped over to the "dark side" to learn how to be a better, more well-rounded musician. Recently I obtained a "Squire" Strat along with an Ibanez Artcore electric 12-string and a Mustang IV modeling amp. My fingers are complaining but they'll get used to it. Having a lot of fun while drawing inspiration and resolve from a Stratocaster-playing gentleman by the name of John Bride. John's playing has always been effortlessly addictive and continues to be a joy to watch and listen to. He will forget more than I will ever learn. Thank you John! Now I must go and practise...........

Welcome, Neighbor! The "dark side" is all I know, but it hasn't made me a better or well rounded musician. Hope it goes better for you!! ;)

Welcome, Gord. I see your two FT neighbors found you. I'm not much further away, in Blacksburg, VA.

A question, though...John Bride is in Canada. How does a guy in the NC mountains hook up with him?

    Hi Tele !
I have seen and heard John's playing since the early '70's. We moved here recently.
BTW-I believe that there should be a "U" in the word "neighbour." LOL
    Thanks for the welcome!!
