What a beauty! She already looks like you've loved her for years.

This has been an extreme puzzle. I strung her up to intonate, and extending the saddles as far forward as possible, just before they fell off the screw, I was still a half-tone or more flat at the 12th fret on all strings. So I called the (very) good folks at Hipshot and asked the specs on the screw (4-40, they told me). These were 5/8" long, so I asked if they had 7/8" in stock and if I could buy some. He said he would just send me some, which he did, along with six 3/4" screws. Meantime I, I went to a local Fastenal shop and got some 1" screws. Any longer and the saddle height screws would no longer be on the bridge plate. I ended up having to use them and the strings are all just a touch flat at the 12th fret. Can't figure this out - measured from the nut to the string-through holes and it is exactly 25-1/2". Am I going nutty???

On my two Strats, one MX and one AM, the distance from the fret side of the nut to the holes is 26" to center. But that might just be two more bad examples, LOL..

I figured it out. I bet that if you measure from the nu to the 12th fret on your Strat it's 12-5/8". On this neck it's 12" even. What a f***ing piece of ******. I think USACG has been officially destroyed by the new owner.

Wow, that's bad. I guess there is still Warmoth, I've had great results from them.

I don't like Warmoth's necks at all. Looking toward Musikraft.
