I used to have an American Fender Bullet. Yes, that neck was a slinky little bugger and I loved playing it! The neck I am getting is already slinky and I will sand it down a touch more.

Wow - there is no way I could tell this apart from Swamp Ash if I didn't hold it and feel how incredibly light it is. Filling grain and sanding last night and tonight. I will at least spray the sealer coat of Poly tonight if not the Sienna Burst. Amazing stuff - the weight of balsa, the strength and beauty of Swamp Ash!

The neck is probably the cleanest (and most boring) maple I've ever used, but it feels great and is nice and light. Trying to decide how to amber it a bit...rubbing dilute stain into the bare wood or spraying a sealer coat of Poly and then spraying the amber. The latter is my usual choice, but there is so little grain variation here that I might just rub it in.

I received the trem, a Hipshot US Contour with narrow string spacing.

The mounting holes don't line up perfectly with the holes drilled in the body so I doweled 4 of the 6 and will re-drill them as soon as the glue sets, and then put on a second sealer coat (this is some thirsty wood!)
