    Default Frets

So, is Fender putting thin tall frets on everything coming out of the factory new, or is it just certain models?😝

Must be certain models. The so-called "medium jumbo" - fairly tall but not narrow - has been their default for years.

But I like the skinny ones, too. My main Partscaster is fretted with medium jumbo frets up to the 12th, and then the tall/narrow frets from there up to the 22nd.

The Professional series has this new taller fret that they say is most requested in Custom Shop orders. I've spent the last few weeks with one and I can't tell the difference. Maybe that's a good thing.

I used to be very picky about these nit picking details, but as I get older I find that I just like to play. About the only frets I've never been able to enjoy was Gibson's fretless wonder models.

I spent a lot of years working to get all of my guitars really close to the same in every detail. Now the problem is that they are all the same.
