Starting with this absolutely featherweight piece of swamp ash.

Tommy forgot the f-hole, so I have to figure out how to put one in quickly.

Yay!!! What color? Roasted neck? Plain maple? Rosewood? Two humbuckers? One hum, one single? Sunburst? Honey Burst? Starburst?
I'm not sayin' that, I'm just sayin'......

Josh (this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Se1wSFbc_qY ) originally requested "butt ugly brown". This is the original:

This one will have a roasted maple neck and we will probably forego the f-hole. Pickups are Curtis Novak's reproduction of the original Fender wide-range humbuckers, which were quite unique in that they had threaded magnet pole pieces. There are few magnetic alloys hard enough to hold a thread, which is why Fender no longer even tries to use this pickup design in their reissues.

Coincidence? I think not. My friend in the Bahamas who knows Lenny and Craig told me this morning about Lenny's tribute to Prince. Check out the guitar Craig is playing here:

OK, so I'm going without the f-hole and a darker, tobacco shade of brown. The neck just arrived, and it is remarkable. Have just sprayed a sealer coat on the fretboard and top of the headstock and will apply decal in an hour and continue spraying. I'm supposed to deliver this guitar a week from tomorrow, so this is a high-pressure project!!

Hey, Mike.... It might be kinda fun to have another artist (doesn't your wife paint?) paint a 3-D appearing F-hole on this....

    Just sayin....

I actually thought of that and had a crazy idea of having an f-hole that looked like it had grass growing out of it. But I don't really have time for that with this project.

So long as it doesn't have a Strat headstock it'll be cool.
I'm a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.
