Default VERY specific Gibson Echolplex question

I am hoping someone is is very familiar with the Gibson Echoplex and how to use it.

I have recently got one. Not my first looper, but first Echoplex.
The configuration is non-intuitive, but I'm working my through it and making good progress.
I've come upon a roadblock and any reading of my manual, I cant find the answer.

    setup:
echoplex is midi sync with a drum machine - drum machine sends the timer
echoplex has Moreloops set to 2
echoplex has loop/delay set to loop
echoplex has quantize set to ON
echoplex has sync set to IN
    echoplex has autorecord is ON

I want to create 2 loops - after creating my first loop (I hit record, it will wait for the correct time to start recording) - just perfect. But the problem starts when I click the 'next loop' button to create my 2nd loop - it immediately switches to loop 2 and starts recording (not waiting for the right beat) - loop 2 is not quantized with drum machine like loop 1 (initially) is. And going back to loop 1, unless I hit it perfectly (I cant hit it perfect in relation to a midi timer) its only a matter of 10-30 seconds it is clear the timing is not synced. sync problems just waterfall into a huge mess after this point.

So I guess my primary question is how can I get the 'next loop' button to coordinate / get in time with the midi timer ?

    Thank you fendertalk !

Resolved. On the 1 in 1.5million chance someone may need the same information - its not in the manual. You have to change the SwitchQuant perameter to 'loop'.

Wow, you answered your own question! Well done.

It's really more of an issue with the time/space continuum relating to the flux capacitor and its inverse relationship with the sacaverial transfunctioner. But I would guess 3-4 weeks.
I'm not sayin' that, I'm just sayin'......

Are you serious??? Isn't longevity supposed to be the crux of the biscuit?

Biscuits are nice. I like digestives.
You know, said Arthur, its at times like this, when Im trapped in a Vogon airlock with a man from Betelgeuse, and about to die of asphyxiation in deep space that I really wish Id listened to what my mother told me when I was young.
Why, what did she tell you?
I dont know, I didnt listen.

Gimme a Bourbon with my flux capacitor anytime. Shaken (not stirred) of course.
I'm a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.
