Before few days I got an email from Seymour Duncan where they informed me that's possible to order custom winded pickups according customer specs. Price isn't regular or well accepted for most hobby players but hey - the big firm make a pickup just for you!

Hats an informative thread for sure. Some of the techno was lost on me but my take away message is stuck with the same brand....therefore you'll have no issues!!
I'll most likely buy the Suhr SSV+ I mentioned and then start shopping for some singles. I believe they make the V60lp which from what I've read are really nice Strat pups.

I was wondering who that was. He kept referring to "our" pickups.

Ya mon, keep a set within the same brand! I've tried many combinations, and it always seems to work better when they are in the same family. And in my experience, that goes with humbuckers too.

    Yeah, I guess that's what I'll do.
I've been trying to email the guys from Fokin pickups but I'm not getting anywhere.
I don't think I have the right email address.

A few years ago I used to do the Facebook thing...but no more.
Maybe I'm just pessimistic but really don't want to keep in touch with the vast majority of the people that were my FB "friends".
