Default Dimarzio Area 58 neck / Area 67 middle / Area 61 bridge

I love my Fender American Standard Strat, but hate the hum. Long story short, did some searching. I sent an email to a professional musician and he suggested I look at the Area pickups. I did a lot of research and they seemed good. I did a lot of YouTube watching and selected the 61-bridge, 67-middle, 58-neck combination. I emailed the pro back and he said that's exactly the setup he uses. Had them installed in May and just want to say I'm very pleased with them. No hum whatsoever and still that Strat quack. I've fallen in love with my Strat all over again, it was almost like a NGD when I plugged the guitar in.

Hey, Spydie! Long time no see! I have been impressed with the sound clips of those pickups.

I've had a set of Area's in my Strat for quite some time now and have been very happy. I think I have a '58 bridge 67 mid and a virtual solo in the bridge(I think - I can't remember). Anyway it makes my Strat super versatile, quiet and sounds like a strat when I needed it to. The virtual solo is a killer pup for the bridge...it's a big and fatter like a 1/4 pounder not quite a humbucker but sort of a p90(ish) vibe. I like them a lot and hope you do too!

Hey Spydie, welcome back! It's all about tone, whenever I can get some tones that inspire me, it just gets easier to get into that zone.

Just ordered a set. I was thinking of going 67 neck, 58 middle and 61 neck. Wondering what you're liking about your combo?

I really didn't know better. That's why I went with my combo. The Pro uses them the way I do. Also Dimarzio has a prewired pickguard with them in those same positions as well. I did a lot of YouTube video watching. Those were just the positions I came up with after watching a bunch of videos.
