I went for a more austere thing. Kind of a dark burst-meets-tobacco burst. Although I dearly love the burst that Elvir posted above!

I'm liking the grain pattern on that.

Beauty is more than skin deep! What color of scratchplate is going on that lovely face?

That is exactly what Scott and I were discussing a few minutes ago. It is pretty tough to match most guards up with a chewin' tobacky burst. Will be seeking photos from Al Gore's internet. On a side note...I knew this was going to happen...I'm spraying two guitars right now, one in nitro and one in poly, and I ran down to spray a quick coat on the fretboard and headstock for this beauty, and there are like 20 x-rays and CT scans to read, and the missus is telling me Jeopardy is on, and, well, you can guess the rest...

At first view, I dare to suggest mint green parchment p'guard. Second option, and though option, is custom wood pickguard! I don't know do you have some handy router, but by the help of some good acrylic template it shouldn't be imposssible to cut...
For second option here is an vid about it... http://www.stewmac.com/How-To/Trade_...265_C_20160630

I tried one and it didn't look right. Actually, I'm thinking of this:
