    I like them as well, and yes they are Gretchy, but Mr. J wants a red axe.

    My latest Dakota Red has shot to #1 with a bullet. I am assuming this the color that has made such a difference. I may have them all painted some shade of red.

    I must admit that I have had this powdered cardinal red dye for 10 years, so maybe it has broken down somehow. But if it would do that in the bottle, I'm sure it would do the same on a guitar. So I'm going to sand back the top again and spray with some Colortone liquid cherry red from Stew Mac. Sheesh!
    We DO have birds of that color here in MI Mike, but we call them Orioles!
