    Question 2008 Laney Lionheart L5T-112

started off well boutght the amp new but had to be returned to a fault as the secondswitch did nothing.

repaired came back been using it since until this week when the output el84 went **** up. ordered an ew set of valves from watford matched set. After burning in i always felt the revered wasn't correct like almost not his at all.

stripped the am.p and found the posts had been assuringly correctly red to red and black to black on the reverb tand. swapped lead towhee to red and such. hey presto all the reverbs back.

a new set often set of matched valves and my les paul its a awesome oiece of kit period.

so if your laneys reverb is non existant check the connections and swap wem

The L5T is a great sounding amp. Congrats on getting it working again.

Who'da thought the color coded wire would be wrong? Ya can't run red to ground.... ya just can't.

Don't worry about the wire colors. Nothing is polarity sensitive here at Laney.... Hey look, it's lunch time already.
I'm not sayin' that, I'm just sayin'......

Yeah, you can get red wire any time as long as it's black insulated - new amp rule.

Beside this sad joke, I must admit how it is weird situation for repairman or owner... somebody could die!

No, the reverb would not be at line voltage.
