Default Don't know where to post this....

    Guys,

Pardon my randomness in posting this, but I was watching this on youtube, and I just had to share it. I'm not even a Satriani fan, but this song just tears my heart apart - this guy is not just a shredder, as I thought.

Move it, or delete it, if you must, but please watch ti first...:)

No doubt, Satch is about as good as he wants to be. The man can play from his soul.
Some contend that rock 'n roll is bad for the body & bad for the soul
Bad for the heart, bad for the mind, bad for the deaf & bad for the blind.
It makes some men crazy and they talk like fools.
Makes some men crazy and they start to drool.

Just goes to prove what they say - it's in the fingers. I'm not a lover of the widdly stuff generally and much prefer melodic playing by far. That was Proper though!

I have as much Joe as I have of anyone. The man can play. "Flyin' In A Blue Dream" is my favorite album... he even sings on it some.... Not all that bad.

I'm not into Joe's music much but when he replaced Ritchie Blackmore on tour and played
without any rehearsal I realized he wasn't just a shredder, and I prefer his music to Steve Vai's

I'm not much into his music either, but this song just blew me away - I guess I misjudged him based on his shredder reputation, his Ibanez guitars.....its so easy to stereotype! And, Keb, are you sure it was Joe who replaced Ritchie Blackmore? I was under the impression that was Steve Morse, but maybe there was one tour with Joe.

That CD is a major guilty pleasure for me and has been for years! I've always preferred Satch over Vai because of his soulful and melodic sensibilities.
