Default Fresh from Muscle Shoals, Steaming and Greazy...

IMHO, the new incarnation of Royal Southern Brotherhood is by far the best. I've always loved Cyril Neville's voice and never took to Mike Zito's voice or Devon Allman's for that matter. On the new CD, Cyril sings a lot more, and when he's not, new (and awesome) guitarist Bart Walker kicks in with a great voice that reminds me of Jimmy Hall (remember Wet Willie?). The newest member is Tyrone Vaughn, Jimmy's son, and he is a smoking guitarist as well. But to me, the one thing that really sets this CD apart from their others is that they've stumbled onto some real chemistry, and recording at Muscle Shoals probably didn't hurt. You can stream the CD here:

Gotta get me some of that!
Some contend that rock 'n roll is bad for the body & bad for the soul
Bad for the heart, bad for the mind, bad for the deaf & bad for the blind.
It makes some men crazy and they talk like fools.

It's nice to see music being made. I really like any kind of music that doesn't require back up dancers and/or a DJ. No offense to my Fendertalk rappers. Yo.
I'm not sayin' that, I'm just sayin'......
