    Default Supro amps

I was wondering if anyone has played/owned the new line of supro amps? I've been saving penny's up and want to make my next purchase a nice tube amp. So I've been on every page I can find listening to demos. The amp that just sounds the best I've found so far is the supro coronado and before I spend that much on an amp (hell anything for that matter) I was looking for some real feedback. I'm not one that has much to spend and have to put in overtime and all that to be able to have the gear I have and want and want to make this something that I can piss everyone on the street off for many many years to come.

I haven't had the chance to try out any of the new Supros, but I have read great reviews on them in both Guitar Player and Vintage Guitar magazines. They seem to like them a lot.

And with that said, there is usually nothing that can rile up the neighbors like a nice Fender Twin Reverb!

    Jmovi,
So, this is kind of an older post. Sorry for the late reply.
I owned a early 60's Supro. 15XX or 16XX model, can't remember what model for sure. It was A really cool amp. It had two Jensen 12's with bell covers, prob 15 to 20 watts. No reverb, but it did have tremeolo to die for. Best I've ever heard. Premier Guitar's recent review said that the Supro Saturn was an awesome amp, but it was a lot of money for a pcb amp. I'd have to agree.

This sounds nice, including the trem:

Looks like this can be had new for around $1200. The Dr. Z Therapy, by comparison, is hand-wired and does not have tremolo - the head is $1750 and a 2-10 combo would be well over $2000 if available. So the question is, what does the difference between printed circuit boards and hand wiring do to the 1.) Sound, 2.) Reliability and 3.) Resale value?

I have a few Pigtronix pedals and they are of exceptional quality.

Right on thanks for the input! I am still on the hunt for my tube amp and will be for a minute longer. I've gotten side tracked with a good modeling amp but still have my stash for my tube amp (don't tell my wife or you'll find my obit and gear for sale in the same news paper) but I read the same thing about the Saturn and they've released another new model I need to research more
