Default New Song - Going Home

    Guys,

Here's one more - do let me know if you're getting tired of them!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbuG39vx5t8

Everything's the same except for three things. One, I got to use the Zexcoils. Two, the later parts of the song were done after I changed the pot on the Gries (that you guys helped me with!). And last, but by no means the least, since Elvir suggested that using the bridge pickup is not an inherently evil act, the OD solo is bridge pickup all the way - just for you, my friend!

    Hope you like it.

Thank you buddy I enjoyed along whole stuff, yes ... using bridge PU in mellow songs isn't heresy thanks you accepted my small suggestion. Song is very nice.

Keep 'em comming Srini. I think they're great. I'm hoping you get about 12 of them up so at my next party I can run them on a loop. They're very cool, breezy, mellow tunes and your playing is very crisp and soulful!

Thanks, guys! Elvir, that bridge PU needed a fair amount of roll back on the tone knob - besides, that recommendation for the Zexcoils came from you, so I hope this validated your expectations! Jag, I hope your party isn't any time soon, but I'll keep trying as hard as I can.

I like it. I like it a lot. That's the best one of yours I've heard yet.

I like the way your choice of notes. Sometimes you sound like you're heading for a particular pitch, and then you sneak around and go somewhere else. Nice. I'm much more predictable.

Hahaha..thanks, Stan! Funnily enough, my playing sounds rather predictable to me, and I wish I could play like other people - I guess I have a warped musical brain!

We all do. Hendrix was very unsatisfied with his playing, too. It doesn't seem to matter where you are, you feel like you're on this plateau and hoping for a breakthrough.

Very good point, Stan. I heard a great comment on youtube from Larry, where he said that a player's style is determined by what he can do and what he cannot do, so deficiencies in chops can be used to your advantage as you work around things you don't have the chops to execute. I always use that to make myself feel better..:)
