    Fender announced that they'll be releasing this as a limited-edition:

    If it had a set neck there would be a bit more advantage, I think.... But re looks only~ it's kinda interesting... Not so different looking than a traditional Tele, but...... different anyway. I guess that extra cut would lighten it up a tiny bit, also.

    Definitely a guitar that makes you look twice! Had to ponder it for minute but I do like it.

    That neck joint is the one thing that would worry me too. Without that upper bout there's not much pocket there to stabilize the neck heel.

    It's no weirder than a doublecut LP though. Kinda reminds me of a Junior.
