Here's another nice thing it does for me. It's like Nigel Tufnel's question, "What do you do when everything is on 10?" We do some tunes where I'm already on a high gain patch (Soldano) for my rhythm tone, and then what do you do for the lead? Most of my OD pedals get lost when I kick them on in Soldano land, the Soul Food really kicks it up a notch in tone and db. Just used it like that today with great results. Really, I don't know if the SF is the end-all do-all stomper, but for the price it is stunning. I have spent twice its price before with less gratification.

Bad for the heart, bad for the mind, bad for the deaf & bad for the blind.

Sorry, brother! Seriously, I haven't liked an overdrive device this much before. I hope I'm not overselling it for anyone.

Lol....It's all good Stan. You have good taste and the truth is I'm always looking for someone to light the GAS fuse. The fact that it's you makes it even better because if you think it's different in a cool way there must be something to it.

Oh Crap! It never ends, does it?!

And here, ladies and gents, is the The Klon Wars. About 12 minutes of box-to-box comparisons between a real Klon Centaur and 3 "Klones," with one of them being the humble Soul Food.

This was done through a Dr. Z Maz 18 amp, which I wish they had left cleaner so you could really hear what the boxes were doing, but it's a good listen if you've got a few minutes.

Wow - way to butcher an audio review!! Stan, myy MAZ-18 was super clean and voluminous, voluptuous and Sassy, but would never sound that dirty without a pedal activated. And the "baseline tones you hear are NOTHING like a Maz 18./ It would be a great "pedal platform" amp for review and gigging intrigue but they completely missed the boat. I'm impressed that the EH pedal is in the group. If I had any savvy I'd be posting quality comparison vids starting with a nice, clean and warm baseline tone and again with a near-breakup setting and applying a few pedal settings to both.

Yeah buddy, I think they totally missed the point there, at least from my view. I couldn't really hear much difference in any of those pedals, especially with that full bloat tone as a starting point.

Yeah that clean channel was set pretty dirty. You'd think they'd know better.

I checked out the Klon wars and there are some really cool clones out there that should be a serious contender!

I like the look and function of this double Klon.
