Default Need some help on this attic find

So I bought a old house in my home town. As I was going through the attic I stumbled upon this tucked away in the corner. I have no clue what it's worth or any info on it. I brought it to guitar center for info. All he did was plug it in check the pick up. Seen the tuning knobs all falling apart and said can't help you. I guess they only help if they intend to buy it. Sorry if this is in the wrong section. From my research I seen one other model matching this case and style. 1957 champ lap steel guitar desert sand. Please any info on model or value would be great thanks.

Dang, he's already beat my best offer! Those characters are so old and rare that it is very hard to put a value on them. Can we get some more closeup shots of the details?

Basically, a lap steel like that is worth whatever you can get someone to pay for it. That sounds pretty vague, but there are not enough transactions of 1957 Lap Steels to establish a reliable market value. This one looks like something that might show up in Rick's shop on "Pawn Stars."
