    Default Much Too Long!!!

A little time has passed but I have her put back together.

Many moons ago a fine painter applied a dose of vintage Seafoam green to unspectacular American Standard for me. Love the color.

Lovely! Dr. Feelgood took good care of her, I see. I do love Seafoam Green and don't know why I don't have one in the arsenal.

I always think the same thing whenever I see one too. She's a beauty!

I remember painting one for Jake, and a MK for Stan - but I don't trust my memory as much as I used to. Did I paint that one too?

You surely did!! I paid you ahhhhhh, ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm one million dollars to do it!! Yeah!! That's the ticket!! You painted her then I let her sit for a year and a half maybe....not sure. I put some Lollar Special Ts in her and have yet to plug into an amp so I can't tell you how it sounds. A true sign that I work too much. Thanks again for doing it. I really appreciated it. I just picked up another Tele so I am ready to get into the Tele thing finally. I just can't come up with anymore colors for strats. Now I can start over with Teles. :)

I'm about to do a Cabronita for a Christmas present for a friend's 12-year-old son. He likes bright blue, and there's not enough time for a nitro finish. Found an acrylic lacquer at an auto parts store, a Ford color called Bahama Blue. Not super-bright; somewhere between Lake Placid and Ice Blue Metallic. I'm hoping the boy's affinity for playing guitar will outlast his affinity for bright colors. I'll start a new thread after I get back from the Bahamas (it seemed appropriate to use Bahama Blue since I was about to depart for the Bahamas).

Let it be Bahama Blue, then!

Fender has a hot one out now called Ocean Blue Metallic, I like it.
