    I like the rounder woodier tone of rosewood for a Strat or Tele.

    I just ordered the coolest neck yet, from Musikraft. It is a Snakehead Tele neck of roasted maple. The fretboard is something called "Brazilian Walnut", not really walnut. Also locally called "Ipe", it is very hard and probably similar to Rosewood. The coolest thing is, this wood was reclaimed from the old Coney Island boardwalk!
    The Human Torch was denied a bank loan.

    Hmmm... me too, and I never really thought about it before. I tend to play my Carvins a lot this time of year and they all have ebony boards. And I've been playing one of my Custom Shop Les Pauls lately, and it has an ebony fingerboard too. Very interesting.
