    Default 2 Fine acoustic electrics.

As a long time collector of mainly acoustics have ended up with 2 Gretsch. The odd Crimson Flyer 1997 and solid spruce arch top Country Club near same age. C.F. is solid wood chestnut and spruce top. The C.C. is also actually a fine acoustic not merely a good electric. Both are Japan sourced superbly well fitted and finished. Both well preserved by former owners and myself. Both truly fine acoustically. Tail piece on flat top C.F. is actually useable with stable tuning. This good stuff gets neglected as players by me because they are such nice objects. I have temperature and humidity controlled space 20+ miles away for good preservation and security with relative. Guitars are one of the worst investment items because of care necessary and they do not fit in a pocket like gold coins. These are built to be used, but I think there is good reason to preserve a few for future use and appreciation

Nice to know there are a few discerning guitar guys that like my selections if not other aspects of my judgement. Like for instance I bought a Gretsch Duojet 57 green I did not like as a player and was pleased to keep its amplifier for free after getting my $200. back. Later saw one sold for $5000.
