I have a Gretsch 5120 but to be honest I have an Ibanez that I upgraded with some Gibsons and it plays and sounds much better so I dont play the Gretsch as much.

You have to be careful about what you get with a Gretsch. Since they came back in the nineties, they're all imports. The 61xx series hollow bodies are made in the Terada factory in Japan, and they are well made instruments with mediocre electronics and wiring. Solid bodies and 51xx series and Electromatics are made in Korea. Buyer beware. Gretsch is a unique instrument with limited tonal qualities. Very well suited for rockabilly, country, some jazz, and some rock. It's a love or hate guitar, it will depend on your style of playing if you like it or not. I'd check one out thoroughly before buying it.
