    I've worked for him a few times in the past couple of years.

    This was in N.O. at VooDoo Fest last November.

    This is in the studio the next day with C.C. Adcock.

    This was year before last in N.O.

    Mike!..Long time no "see", mate!

    I still check in here every so often. Got to keep an eye on you scoundrels and your projects/escapades/conspiracies.

    Nice to see you again, RorysStrat!
    Hope all you guys are well.

    ..anyway...Billy is a hell of a guitar player...low maintenance, easy going, but all business regarding the show.

    Mike, I worked a show as gtr tech with my friend/boss Roy Rogers at the King Biscuit Blues Festival a couple of weeks ago.
    We had Sonny Landreth as a guest for the whole set(!) gawdalmighty...Those two together..wow...
    I took a couple of pictures...

    ..anyway..I didn't mean to hijack this thread..Thought you'd like those few Squier pics, though.

    Take care, all.
    See ya again soon.

    Wow, brother! Landreth and Roy Rogers together! Now that is a Summit.

    Roy is playing a 12 string Dobro (!) here...from around '61 if I remember correctly.

    Sonny is playing a custom shop of some sort..I don't remember..

    His tech and I are good friends but we don't see each other very often and looking at guitars wasn't first on our list that night :)

    Sonny and Roy

    Roy and his gtr tech ;)

    EDIT;
    For the last several shows I've done with him the guitars have been;

    a doubleneck made by Sean Chappell that he told me he's had about 20 years.

    Looking at set lists now...
    The top neck is usually tuned to open G and the lower neck to open D and both necks have cues where I use a capo.
    Usually it's on the 5th fret of the neck tuned to open D.

    He has the 12 string Dobro, as I mentioned and it's tuned to open D.

    ..and he has a 1970 Martin tuned to open E with various capo positions.

    The pedals we use are tuner-boogie-sex drive-blues driver-chorus with a stereo out to 2 twins...I forget all the pedal brands..nothing real exotic, though.

    I had 7 guitar changes in 14 songs for the last show.

    It keeps me busy and out of mischief!
    An amplified acoustic guitar with pedals...an amplified 12 string Dobro resonator ..with pedals..and an amplified doubleneck electric..with pedals....a trifecta of trouble!

    W-O-W ! I would have a hard time sleeping after a show like that, I would just be laying there and having all those wild notes running over and over through my brain.

    Always makes me feel better when I see a player known for acoustic technique getting bit by the pedal bug!
