    Default wiring messed up???

Ok so i have this "Gilmour" strat and though all the connections and everything are good and such I get this weird noise from the guitar like its not propperly grounded. All my ther strats dont sound like this and even the non-hum cancel ones are quieter.

The guitar is loud and only when i touch the strings is it quiet. It will make a quick crackle static like sound when i touch metal too.

Should I change the resistor (it has the little square brown chicklet) or have it torn appart and redone???

It has a fender custom shop fat 50's neck

    Seymour duncan ssl-5 bridge
250k cts volume and tone pots
Cloth wiring and a mini switch to activate neck pickup.
Wiring was followed to the T so i dont know why this is going on.

Did you - by chance - flip flop the wires going to the jack? I did that to a Tele once and experienced similar "not grounded" noises. Once I redid the jack wiring my problems went away.

If that's not it, check to make sure your bridge is properly grounded.

Yeah, you got something goofy in the somewhere, bro. It could be a tiny little thing, like once when I had a little splatter of solder fly off and land in a bad place. It took me quite a long time to find that little jumper.
