    Sadly the Rosewood Forest is not as it once was... I sold one of the MIJ Rosewoods.

    In it's place, I bought one of the Telebration 60th Anniv Limited Edition Rosewood veneer teles...

    can you tell any difference in the sound of the veneered Tele compared to the real thing?

    To be honest, I haven't spent much time playing the veneered Tele, but my initial impression was that it was pretty much a Standard USA Tele, that happened to look nice!

    OK, I have been threatening to buy a "special" guitar for a few days now, and today it happened. I have wanted an original 1968 Fender Pink Paisley Tele for my collection virtually since I began collecting. Fortunately the GFC has finally put one within my stingy budget.
