Default Selling Products and Dropping Links

Just to be clear, here at FT the moderators do not like people advertising products or dropping promotional links. We recently had a misunderstanding about this so I wanted to be clear about it. If your intention is to get forum links to boost a website or increase sales, this is not the forum for you.

    Examples:
It is ok to put a link in the Website Links forum to your band website.

It is NOT ok to put up a post that you are selling t-shirts or selling guitars.

In general, a link dropped from a fairly new member can be considered spam or self promotion. A link from a long-term member is just considered to be part of their conversation.

Many people join forums to slowly drop links or sell services and this is what the moderators do not like. If you are here to interact and join discussions then you usually won't have any problems. If you do receive a PM from an admin or moderator mentioning that a link you dropped is considered spam or soliciation, please take it to heart.

"I'm gonna make you an offer you cannot refuse."
"Life's too short not to enjoy great tone."

Some contend that rock 'n roll is bad for the body & bad for the soul
Bad for the heart, bad for the mind, bad for the deaf & bad for the blind.
It makes some men crazy and they talk like fools.
Makes some men crazy and they start to drool.

"Roll up folks, this is a once in a lifetime, never to be repeated offer!"
I'm a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.
