    Default Guitar Porn

    I know, I know, it's a Cort, a joke guitar, but seriously, it's a great guitar,
it's light, I don't know what Basswood is, but it does the job.

The neck is really fast to play, the frets huge and dressed well, it has a TonePros
bridge and the tuners are not cheapies and it stays in tune, and bends are effortless.
A graphite nut which I've never came across before, works like a charm.

The best part, and what sold it to me, is the Mighty Mite Motherbuckers @ 22k
they're passive but they pack a punch and the sustain on this guitar is remarkable
seeing as it is a bolt-on without a mahogany body. I like the new headstock shape,
like a Nike tick on the top. There's a coil tap, but only a 3 way switch deal, so you
get 3 humbucker settings and 3 single coil, just right and all useful and distinct unlike
the first Cort I bought last year that had EMG pickups and a bazillion configurations
and none of them anything to write home about, but the hardware on that guitar was
all good. Wilkinson trem, roller nut, Gotoh tuners etc.

I like the look of this guitar, a Cort KX5 Katana. Anything named after a sharp, lethal Japanese blade is cool in my book! The black sparkle, metal flake finish is nice and the white binding sets it off perfectly, the zebra pups look cool too.

For a cheap, Indonesian produced guitar it's really well made and sounds great,
the action is low enough not to buzz and still able to handle slide guitar which
really barks and sustains quite nicely.

These guitars received 5 Stars in the U.K. Guitarist magazine reviews.

    Gee, I really sound like a fAnBoY don't I (C:
Oh well, it's just that it's so gratifying finally finding guitars that are keepers ya know?
    We can't all afford topline Fender Strats and Les Paul (C;

So here it is: sorry about the size of the pics, but my camera is only 3 megapixels

I forgot to mention, string muting on this is brilliant, the bridge and string position just lends itself to chunky mutes.

Best 3 hundy I ever spend

    Nice Keb!
Whether you think you can...or you can't...you're right!

Some mistakes are just too much fun to only make once!!!
