2 MIDI cables needed for Cyber Twin, 1 MIDI cable for foot controller + one UM-2G (USB to MIDI converter) from Roland is what you need.

For those of you not familiar with Cyber Commander, it is a software that opens up the Cyber Twin like no other software. Visit the General Cyber Systems website, pick a copy of the manual and see if you like it.

This software took us 2 years to develop and thoroughly shake out. The software is bug free. As for support, we always answer the mail and support. Every single customer problem solved to date (almost always faulty cabling or faulty MIDI drivers).

Software is native on PCs, do not have a native MAC version at this time. However, we know that Cyber Commander works on MACS will Parallels software running XP & MAC must be Intel based.

If you have questions, I'll do my best to answer.

I would suggest going to his website and emailing him there. Looks like he came, was the one post wonder, and left.

I don't think he's out of business because he still posts on the Fender forum. The famous name has been made white because of copyright laws.

hello dudes!

yes am here, in biziness for the long haul, everything stable and OK.

came by a few times and didn't see much activity, then got a little busy with personal stuff...

anyways, back in action. please email me at customer support at generalcybersystems.com for the personal touch.

in almost 2 years, cyber commander to date has NO BUGS!!! not bad, eh? so there have been no updates in case anyone is wondering why - no bugs to fix, nothing in need of update. i haven't gotten too inspired to do anything else except to stick with cyber commander. the effort to develop and launch cyber commander took about 2.5 years of very, very hard work and it literally left me no personal time. my greatest pleasure is knowing and getting feedback from all of you that it was worth the sacrifice.

i am hoping enough of you use cyber commander to start a cyber twin appreciation club or something. this amp is the dream we have all been waiting for, and with the software, the amp becomes an incredible tone machine/lab. to let this dream die from ignornace would be both be incredibly shameful and tragic . meanwhile the tube twirps keep pining for ancient technology, it's almost embarrassing to be associated with such backwards types, but nevertheless they are our lost bretheren and hopefully one day they'll see the light. in the meantime, play & party on.

ciao,
johnny.

How much trouble would it be to have the tuner shown on the "CC"?

Impossible as far as we know. The Cyber Twins do not output any tuner information onto the Cyber Twin's MIDI Out port. Since there's no tuner data output, it's impossible to display what's not there! Why is this so? Because Fender designed the amp that way and there's nothing we can do about it. If you're interested, the CC manual describes what can and cannot be output by the Cyber Twin amps in lengthy detail.

Once piece of advice: if ever the Cyber Twin gets funky, do a factory reset. This resets everything in the amp including any weird settings that cause the amp to go nuts. Sometimes, the amp can go nuts on its own (probably we drove it nuts from the previous day's testing). A factory reset always restore the amp to "factory fresh". But before you reset, save your player's lounge and MIDI Map first!!! a factory reset will wipe this out.

ciao,
johnny.

all Cyber Twins have this "design feature", none will echo tuner status back to the MIDI port ,this makes it impossible to display tuner status on the PC. doesn't matter which cyber twin you use, they all have this design feature.

many thanks for your feedback, it's always apreciated!

ciao,
johnny.
