Got my Weber speakers in the mail yesterday. They look really cool. So now here is the delema.

I have a Vibroverb (2x10 63 RI) The Oxfords in them are a bit on the crappy side.

I have a 67 Bandmaster from which I use to have no cab for. In a fit of gas I ordered a Cab and the Webers. I canceled the Cab order but kept the speakers on order thinking I would sell the BM and put the speaks in the VV.

It gets more complicated. I find a very cheap Gibson Cab (as detailed in previous post) So I tell my wife "I don't care what you say I am keeping both amps" She goes out and buys a lot of cloths.

So I kind of forget about the speakers. Then one night I hook the VV up to the Gibson Cab...Incredible...then I Hook the BM up to the 2x10 in the VV and the Gibson Cab...Awesome. I forgot how good 4x10 sounded.

So now back to the matter at hand... I got my Webers yesterday... its either they go in the vibro verb or I order a new cab. The Gibson is Closed back and I would love to match it with an Open back, but if I get a new Cab I'm going to have a real hard time trying to hang on to the VV. So do I just cut my spending put the Webers in the VV and sell the Oxfords?

By the way the Speaks in the Gibson are Vintage '66 CTS and they sound great!!

    Pretty simple really.

If the Oxfords sounded crap enough to order the Webers in the first place, the original reason to replace them is still there - it's just been confused by other comings and goings.

Repace the VV speakers and then presumably the 4 x 10 will sound even better. 8)

And cost you no more money of course...

    I am still alive...

Have not been here in a while looks like Fendertalk got a new pair of kicks!

I made my first pedal board Friday night. Just a slab of wood painted brown with some wholes drilled in it. I made it out of need more than anything. I have usually only used about 3 pedals but my collection jumped to six over the past month or so.

What did you end up doing with the speakers and amps?
