Those Deluxe Strats are simply every bit as nice as the custom shop stuff. Very nice cap'n.

Since those original pics were taken I've made the Line 6 POD a bit more portable and user friendly. I use it mainly for playing the guitar through headphones or running through the Hi-Fi but also had it mounted on my amp. However, the leads and power supply, etc made it a bit awkward when I want to shift it all about.

So, I mounted the POD and power supply inside a small case and fitted a mains socket, so all leads (power, USB, guitar cables, etc) can be stowed inside the case, along with lots of guitar gubbins.

Now it's easy to move the whole lot around in one portable unit, to be set-up anywhere without fuss.

I give you, "The Go-Anywhere POD":

That Pod is cute 'n stuff, but that guitar is just Way Too Pretty. I don't usually Jones for most Strats, but that baby is doin' it for me...

I'm currently baby-sitting another one in the same finish...long story but the store delivered me a second guitar by mistake (complete with a second invoice!).

However, the fretboard on that one is almost ebony in colour with no redish grain marbling like Ole Smokey. The wood grain on the body of the second guitar is also quite plain by comparison.

I think an ash Tele with maple board would also make the perfect stablemate but I'm not sure how to get it past the Wife...yet...

That homemade T of yours ACfixer is somethin' else!

Hmmm... just send the invoice back and keep the guitar. Shouldn't be a problem!

Ole Smoky is just one of the nicest looking Strats I've seen, and I've seen a few of them! 8)

Didn't like the other guitar anyway (set-up is awful), so they're welcome to it back.

Ole Smokey appreciates your comments and sends her regards.

The Hiscox case finally arrived today for my Strat. I ordered the Pro II model and it was well worth the wait. It's so much better than the Fender ABS case originally supplied with the guitar and the construction is faultless (it's practically bomb-proof). I even managed to sell the Fender case to recoup the majority of the cost of the Hiscox, so I'm a happy man yet again. I cannot praise these cases highly enough (for guitars or saxophones):

Nice case too Cap'n. I'm a case guy. I love a well made case. I'll be checking Hiscox out.
