Treasure is right! Look at all that brassy gold! Beauties, don't let Bill Clinton near them them. Nice amp, nice POD, lovely leather strap.

Cool dumbells and what's that beautiful plank you've got there? I'm kind of partial to ash and swamp things. She'd make a great guitar! Nice photo montage. :D

Thanks Fenderchick. The gold is mighty pretty but the sound they make is far better.

    Go for the tone!

Beautiful Strat!! What finish is that - Aged Cherry, Tobacco or Sierra Burst?

Thanks Dangerine - it's Tobacco. I call her "Ole Smokey".

Wow! That engraving on the Sax (I think) is absolutely beautiful. Awesome collection.

    Hey Captain,
Nice Selmers! You have excellent taste in horns.

Let me know if you know anyone looking for a 1950's Selmer Paris Bb trumpet.

Wow, just look at the patina on that trumpet - wonderful!

Yes, my Selmers took me a while to acquire and I played many lesser horns before I got to that stage. Still, worth the wait. And my saxophone GAS is at an end (mouthpieces are another matter though!).

In all honesty, I'm not too bothered about the engraving on the horns, it's the tone that counts for me. I guess the same can be said of guitars - better to buy them with your ears and for the feel, rather than with your eyes.

However, if you like engraving, check out what Jason Dumars can do with a chisel in his hand: http://www.dumarsengraving.com/

And he's no slouch with a saxophone in his mouth either!

Average, run of the mill? I don't think so! Those fine instruments would be welcome on any stage. Nice selection of Tone Toys there, Cap'n!

    Stay tuned, Stan
